let go . . .

must i let go
i asked

yes dear

l e t  g o
he wispered

l e t  g o
of the
pain

i know it will hurt
but cling to something new

so i grabbed hold of my Lord;
my Father.

with a tight grip

and he embraced me knowing it was
h a r d

now i can mend you, dear

psalm 147:3

//he heals the brokenhearted and binds their wounds//

  1. deep, deep, deep. like... i can't explain how much i love this. we must be broken and hurt and we have to let go for God to really heal us. we cannot be healed when we're still holding on to something. For example, if there was dirt in a cut or just rust or something, you'd want to wash out the wound before you bandaged it. You'd want to have it cleaned so it wouldn't be infected. But we have to let ourselves be cleaned and stripped down. We have to be broken in order for God to heal us, you know? He needs to get rid of the dirt and the unholy things in our lives so that He //can// heal us.

    so yes.

    i love this a lot.

  2. now i can mend you, dear. oh, beautiful dear Savior of ours. we have never deserved such love, and sometimes i fear it.

    but oh, the hands that never cease to hold us.

    i cannot fathom the glory of it all, and it brings me to my knees. THANK YOU DARLING, for saying what needed to be said. ♥

    xx

    1. i know, it has always been hard for me to grasp the concept of how much he loves us, that he died for us, for me, that we did nothing to deserve that great a love yet will still get it, its quite amazing, and THANK YOU I LOVE READING YOUR THOUGHTS <4
